Shabnam is a mother of three. In the little off-time that this brain-scrambling job permits, she writes columns and book reviews for magazines and newspapers. And, of course, popular books for children. These include `What Maya Saw’, which has been nominated for numerous awards; `The Six Spellmakers of Dorabji Street’ which is used as a reader by many schools in the city and the laugh-a-minute Nimmi series. Her books for early readers include `The Shy Supergirl’, `Lucky Girl’ and `When Jiya Met Urmila’.
