Parameswaran Iyer

Parameswaran Iyer is Secretary, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation, Ministry of Jal Shakti – the coordinating Ministry for the Swachh Bharat Mission and the Jal Jeevan Mission. Editor of ‘The Swachh Bharat Revolution’, he recently brought together a compendium of essays by key stakeholders across sectors who helped implement the Swachh Bharat Mission. A former IAS officer, Iyer served as a Manager for Water in the World Bank based in Washington DC. He has over 20 years of experience in the water supply and sanitation sector and has previously also worked in Vietnam, China, Egypt and Lebanon.
