Monica Ali

Bangladesh

Monica is an award-winning writer, whose novels include ‘Brick Lane’, ‘In the Kitchen’ and ‘Untold Story’. Her work has been translated into 26 languages. She was chosen as one of Granta’s 2003 Best of Young British Novelists. She has been a visiting Professor on the MFA course at Columbia University, New York and from 2015-18, she was Distinguished Writer in Residence at the University of Surrey.
