Cosme Álvarez

Mexico

Cosme is a poet, narrator and translator from Sinaloa, Mexico. He has taught narrative and poetry workshops. He has been the editor and founder of important literary magazines; he is currently the Director of the e- magazine ‘La Guarida. Literature of Spain and Latin America’. His books include ‘Vivo Sueño’, ‘El cántaro de fuego’ and ‘El azar de los hechos’. His poems have appeared in ‘Eco de voces. Generación poética de los sesentas’ (2004) and in the ‘Anthology of Sinaloa Poets’ (1996). Cosme received the National Literature Award Gilberto Owen in 1997 for ‘El azar de los hechos’.
