A freelance photographer based in Mumbai, Binaifer photographs abstracts and landscapes. Her commercial portfolio focuses on still life work (products, food, interiors and jewellery). As part of ArtOxygen, an organisation that promotes public art in public spaces in Mumbai, she photographed and shot videos of the interactions and encounters between the public, the artwork and the artist. Binaifer is also the photo editor at PARI (People’s Archive of Rural India), an award-winning website started by P Sainath, that documents the lives and culture of people in rural India. She loves going to the mountains, animals, books, films, food and is mother to a cat.
