The recently released, The Swachh Bharat Revolution, edited by Parameswaran Iyer, brings together a compendium of essays to chronicle the implementation journey of this massive people’s movement. The book includes chapters penned by prominent individuals from various sectors – including the Central Government, State governments, international leaders, developmental agencies, faith leaders, economists and sanitation experts – on how their sector contributed to the roll out of the Mission. In this sense, the book truly captures the all-encompassing and cross-sectoral nature of the people’s movement, which has now emerged as a global case study.
